DESCRiZIONE
The Ultra Zone è il sesto album in studio di Steve Vai. Pubblicato il 7 settembre 1999 per la Epic Records, ha una struttura molto simile al precedente Fire Garden, anche se non è specificatamente diviso in due fasi.
La prima parte dell’album è strumentale, mentre nella seconda metà sono presenti brani con una traccia vocale.
Notevoli i due brani dedicati ai chitarristi Frank Zappa (Frank) e Stevie Ray Vaughan (Jibbom).
Nell’edizione giapponese dell’album è presente una bonus track dal titolo Selfless love.
